The 2024 Mâconnais Report : Assessing the 2022 Vintage and a First Look at 2023
I was not familiar with the wines of Domaine des Tourterelles at all, so I made a point of tasting them at the Grands Jours de Bourgogne. The vines have been in Michel Gaillard’s family since 1946, but were with the cooperative until 2014. in coop up to 2014. The first three wines tasted were raised in stainless steel on fine lees before bottling after nine months. They are in the fresh, relatively early picked style of Viré-Clessé.

Bright fresh lemon. Very classy nose, just a little fuller, fine density on the palate, you can see this is lower on the slope, and this also shows greater persistence.
