THE DOMAIN
Domaine Lavantureux is situated in Lignorelles and is a family-owned wine domaine that has been passed down from father to son for several generations.
David and Arnaud, who have twice been named Best Young Wine Producers in Burgundy, continue to perpetuate the family’s winemaking legacy today.
In both the vineyards and the cellars, they strive to enhance the terroir and allow it to freely express itself. Their hard work has given rise, not only to some outstanding Chablis wines, but also some high-quality white Burgundies which are amongst the finest in the whole of the Côte de Beaune.
Allow the Terroir to be expressed and enhanced
A principle of “Viticulture Intégrée” is driven in the vineyards: no weeding and pesticides. We prefer a natural ground cover or plowing.
In the Winery we try to “accompany” the wine. We operate only when it is necessary to guide the winemaking. We use thermoregulation to make cold winemaking in order to obtain all subtlety and complexity of the fruits. The aging is made in stainless steel or in french oak depending on each “cuvées” and also on the characteristic of each Vintage
All works in the vineyards to the bottling are made by ourselves. We care to control all steps until Tasting.
WINES
The Estate represent around 20 Ha.
We produce the following appellations :
- Petit Chablis : Mineral and Fruity, the Petit Chablis is a wine of pleasure to be tasted on any occasion
- Chablis : Richness and Minerality, a fruity and well balanced wine, this is the heart of the appellation with its strong typicity.
- Chablis Vieilles Vignes : This wine comes from our vineyard over 50 years old. It reveals the privilege of age : finesse and character
- Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume : A delicate wine with subtle flavors of honey and ripped fruits. The real finesse of Chablis Terroir
- Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir : The most beautiful expression of Chablis comes from the “amphitheater” of Grands crus : Intensity and Minerality mixed.
