Bourgogne de Vigne en Verre a été créé il y a plus de 30 ans, en 1981. Ce regroupement de 12 domaines, visionnaire à l’époque, véritable continuité de chacun d’entre eux, répond plus que jamais aux besoins des professionnels du monde du vin.

THE DOMAIN

Our Domaine is located in Vergisson, a picturesque village perched up high in the hills at the heart of the historic Solutré and Vergisson site, in southern Burgundy. The vineyards stretch over 5.60 hectares in two appellations: Pouilly Fuissé and Saint-Veran.

Our artisanal approach to viticulture allows us to use ecological and natural methods of cultivation. Working the soil is an integral part of our labour, manual work is valued and the harvest is carried out by hand.

Our painstaking work, from cultivation in the vineyards to aging in the cellars, results in pure, rich wines of character, reflecting the terroirs of Vergisson.

The Domaine produces four wines from Pouilly-Fuissé and one from Saint-Véran.

Our profession: Winemaking

We choose to work a smaller size vineyard area to stay in keeping with our artisanal approach: rigorous manual work, ploughing the soil according to the seasons, treatments based on observation and using only the mineral or vegetal based products of organic viticulture, harvesting by hand at full maturity. We respect the soil and the vine in order to obtain one of Nature’s most wonderful products - the grape.

WINES

Through our painstaking work in the vineyards, we are able to bring out the great potential and diversity of the terroirs of Vergisson in our wines. Our wines, when tasted, reveal contrasting and varying aromas and characteristics, reflecting the noble character of their origin. The grapes are pressed with care and the juice put into barrel before alcoholic fermentation. The wines are slowly and carefully crafted. We intervene as little as possible – we let time do the work.

Each vintage is different and we work with nature to create fine, subtle wines, wines with character that tell a story. Imagining our wines being enjoyed in the future, in a convivial atmosphere with people talking and commenting about them, gives us the greatest of pride and pleasure.
