Notes de dégustation
The bouquet of Maranges is bursting with fruity aromas (blackcurrant buds, spicy, even candied, red fruit). Fresh, with liquorice flavours on the palate, which it coats with fat and peppery flavours. With its smooth, warm tannins, and a soft, intensely vinous character, the wine makes its presence felt.
Mets d'accompagnements
Best served at a cooler room temperature of 13-14°C. Rib of beef and veal filet mignon pair well with the wine, when young. Meats in spicy sauces go nicely with the wine, when older. It also pairs well with moderately strong cheeses, such as Reblochon and Brie de Meaux.
